If you are receiving this it means that you have either won at STAR Events or are a chapter, regional or state office. No matter what the reason, please read the following information concerning the State Leadership meeting.

State Leadership meeting is March 30 – April 1

The bus will depart South Shelby on Sunday, March 30 at 3:00 arriving at the Holiday Inn Select at 5:45. The bus will stop on the way down and you can eat before you get to the hotel. Your first meeting will be at 7:30 p.m.

Between now and then I will give you several packets of information, things of this as packet number 1. But there is a certain amount of information that needs to be done so the registration can be sent in on time. The cost for the majority of the meeting will be paid for out of chapter funds and the fundraisers, but to cover certain expenses we are going to ask that each person attending pays the chapter $25.00, this covers the cost of the conference t-shirt that is worn on Monday night, $5.00 room food, (munchies, breakfast foods and drinks) and then $5.00 just to help the cost. The chapter is paying over $120.00 per person to attend, so it is very costly for us so the $25 helps defray that a little.

We will have a meeting when this paperwork is handed out the week prior to the deadline, all attending state must attend the meeting and sign saying the code of conduct information was understood. Then take it home and have it signed by a parent or legal guardian. This meeting is set up for March 3 at 6:30, this is tentative based on the papers arriving from state.

Something new this year the Region will be having an awards and installation ceremony on March 18 at 7:00 at Macon High School Cafeteria, a bus will be available, although parents are invited to attend this with you.
