Abigail Lootens and Sofia Eleazarraraz attended opening general session at FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Seattle, WA. Abigail will be competing in STAR Events and Sofia is running for national office while at the conference.



Shelby Co. R-IV will be hosting a local law enforcement's emergency responders training on July 8th. We are excited to get to continually work with these great individuals that serve and protect our communities.

If you have a child entering 8th or 12th grade, it is likely that he/she is in need of his/her next round of immunizations. Please check with the health department or your primary care physician to see if he/she is up to date as these vaccines are required before returning to school this fall. There will be no Tuesday Night League softball game tonight at South Shelby High School due to heat or next week due to dead week. See everyone again Tuesday July 9th for the last one.

The South Shelby FFA will be holding a 50/50 raffle with the proceeds going to Mrs. Kaytlyn Mefford. Tickets will be 1 for $5 or 5 for $20. You can purchase these from the FFA Officer Team listed below. The drawing will be held before the Livestock Auction on July 2nd at the Shelby County Fair.

JV Ladybirds had their first summer game today & Astrid got to experience her first softball game ever! We were all excited to be a part of experiencing that with her & watching her rock it on the field! Go Ladybirds! Varsity plays 2 more games tonight at home at 6:15 and 7:30.


5th and 6th grade summer school students learned about Oreo cookies and created a South Shelby Oreo Cookie!


After working so hard in the classroom, all South Shelby Elementary students enjoyed some water games to celebrate the last day of summer school! See you in August!

Come see SS FCCLA at the Clarence Homecoming this evening for some cake and ice cream. Free will donation and all proceeds go to help fund FCCLA activities.




Scott Gough visited 4th, 5th, and 6th grade summer classes to discuss beekeeping. They learned about the skills, tools, and clothing required to stay safe and take care of bees properly.
