Senior Spotlight: Spring Leftwich
Spring Rose Leftwich, will be a 2023 graduate of South Shelby High School, is the daughter of Hollie and Donnie Leftwich. She is the sister of Summer and Autumn Leftwich.
My favorite activity to do with your family: Game nights, movies
My Favorite Childhood memory:Playing with both of my sisters at my Grandmas house.
Activities involved in: I was involved in cheerleading.
The activity that you enjoy the most is running because it helps me feel free and think of things I tend to avoid.
My favorite High School Memory is when I was a freshmen I was at cheer practace and I fell out of a stunt and looking back I laugh because we always took stunts not going up with a grain of salt and learn from it and laugh about it.
The class that I enjoyed the most is Mrs.Mudd's because I always learn something new from her everyday. Sometimes it’s not even the class lesson I learn from Mrs.Mudd being a wonderful person and teaches me how to be a better person on my part. She wants us to learn and she teaches us well with lessons of life and lessons in class.
Outside of school you enjoy chilling with my family and friends.
If I had one wish it would be to have my Grandpa in person at my graduation.
After High School, I plan to work at Salt River Nursing Home as a CNA and plans to get her Med Tech Lisces soon after the CNA lisens she hopes to get her RN lisens in the end.
The person I admire the most is Grandma because shes the whole reasoning I wants to become a RN she's always cheered me on with anything I wanted to do and she always believed in me when I didnt believe in myself.
The teacher that had the most influence on me is Mrs. Stevenson because she would lissen to me when I felt like no one cared to lissen. She cared about my grades and about how I was doing at the same time. She always gave me good advise whenever I needed it also.
The one thing I will miss most about South Shelby High School is Mrs. Stevenson whos taught me since 7th grade and even when I was not a student in one of her classes she would be there ready to lissen and give some advise.

Senior Spotlight: PJ Schmidt
PJ Schmidt, will be a 2023 graduate of South Shelby High School, is the son of Phil and Maggie Schmdt and the brother of John Blake and Stefan.
My favorite activity to do with my family: having get-togethers at our house and playing games with each other while telling stories from the past.
Favorite Childhood memory:The first time I ever went on a fishing trip with my dad and grandpa.
Activities involved in: Baseball for 4 years, Football for 4 years, Basketball for 3 years, Track for 1 year, golf for 1 year, FFA for 4 years, and Enviromental club for 4 years
The activity that you enjoy the most is Football because there is nothing else out there that gives you the adrenaline rush like playing football under the lights on a friday night while feeling the energy and excitement from hundreds of people in your community cheering you on while being alongside all your best friends, it’s the best feeling in the world.
Your favorite High School Memory is when our girls went to state for basketball. It was so amazing because the community rallied together to cheer them on and it was super cool to be present for those games.
The class that I enjoyed the most is Civics because I got to learn about how our country is ran and gained a ton of key knowledge.
Outside of school you enjoy going out for fun nights with friends, going golfing or fishing and watching all of my favorite sports teams .
If I had one wish it would be to get people to truly value the power of hard work because no matter what you're doing in your life, if you work hard at it then good things will come. If you show the Lord that you're willing to work hard for it, he will make it happen for you.
After High School, I plan to attend John Wood Community College to play baseball and get a associates degree in Physical Education.
The person you admire the most is Ethan Thomas because he kid shows up everyday ready to work and never complains. He keeps his head down and focus on all the right things and I hope to have that laser focus one day like he has.
The teacher that had the most influence on me is Mrs. Wilcox because she helped me mature as high school went on and got me to little down a little bit. She also helped me understand the importance of kindness and how to be a good person through caring for others more.
The one thing I will miss most about South Shelby High School is not getting to be around all of the staff members that I’ve formed relationships with.
