The South Shelby National Honor Society hosted our annual Red Cross Blood Drive yesterday. It was a successful day, as we collected 35 units of blood, which exceeded our goal of 24 units for this year! Thank you so very much to our staff, students, and community members for supporting us in achieving our goal!

Some of our 4th grade future farmers learned about ordering seed as part of their career project. We want to say a special thank you to Burrus Seed Company for donating product guides for the students to use, as well as popcorn and pencils for the whole class. Thank you!

Senior Spotlight: Ryder Friesz Ryder Friesz, will be a 2023 graduate of South Shelby High School, is the son of Brian and Amanda Friesz and the brother of Braydon and Taylor Friesz. My favorite activity to do with my family is being able to be together and do anything. The activities that I am involved in are football, and FFA. The activity that I enjoyed the most is football because I enjoy hanging out with the team and coaches and the competitiveness of the game Your favorite High School Memory is winning homecoming my senior year The class that I have enjoyed the most is all of them because they were all a good time. Outside of school, I enjoy being out with friends. If I had one wish it would be to have a lot of money. After High School, Ryder plans to work at B.K. Concrete. The person I admire the most is my dad because he is teaching me how to be succesful and provide for my family. The teacher that had the most influence on me is Coach Wise because he made learning things enjoyable and was always nice to be around. The one thing I will miss most about South Shelby High School is being around everyone at school and getting to spend time with everyone.
