American Education Week is Nov 15-19.
American Education Week was first celebrated in 1921. Begun as part of an effort to raise America's literacy rate after WWI, American Education Week now serves as a special opportunity to shine a light on the great things that schools do. "During American Education Week, we celebrate public education and show our appreciation for the men and women who make a difference in students' lives every day."

South Shelby Elementary participated in a 5K for Girls On The Run in Columbia today. These ladies did a wonderful job!
Don’t forget the South/North Shelby Musical production of Little Women is at the Hawkins Theater tonight at 7PM. Thank you to the Clowns and Criers Community Players and the Shelbina Arts Council for the support and use of the theater. Admission is $5.
