Congrats to the NHS. Their goal was 35 units of blood today for the blood drive. They received 38 units. Thank you to all the community member that gave blood or attempted to give blood. Because of the success, we will be able to award a student a Red Cross Scholarship.
Weather Make-Up Days. The recent winter weather and school cancellations will require Shelby County R-IV to use some make-up days and alter the current year calendar. The district will now be in session on Thursday, April 1st and Monday, April 5th. These are the only two days we will need to add the the current school calendar. The district had weather make up days built into the current school calendar. March 8th will be a Professional Development day for the staff, and a No School day for students. April 2nd will be a No School day for staff and students (Easter Break). The last day of school for 2020-21 will remain as scheduled and be a half-day of school on Friday, May 21st. We will have a little bit of flexibility with the school calendar should we need to miss any additional time due to inclement weather. Hopefully the winter weather is done for the school year. Please contact your students building office should you have any questions about changes to the school calendar.
