What are your plans for next year?
I will be attending Missouri State University. I plan on majoring in animal science with a minor in biology on a pre-vet path.
What School Activities are you involved in?
I’m involved in South Shelby softball, archery, and help complete the yearbook. I am the FFA vice president, NHS president, Environmental Club treasurer, and senior class secretary.
What is your favorite High School Memory?
My favorite high school memory is leaving study hall with Belle Roush everyday and laughing hysterically with Lindsey Magruder in Mr. Hillard’s biology class.
What class in High School do you/did you enjoy the most?
I enjoyed all my ag classes with Mr. Schmidt and Mrs. Mefford.
Who do you admire the most and why?
I admire my mom the most because she supports me in everything I do and is my best friend.
What teacher had the biggest influence on you and why?
The teacher that had the biggest influence on my life is Mr. Mitchell because he always greets everyone with a smile and something positive no matter how his day is going.
What is the one thing you will miss most about South Shelby?
I will miss being with friends and experiencing life with them by my side.

Playing high school basketball
What class in High School do you/did you enjoy the most?
Anatomy with Mr. Hillard
Who do you admire the most and why?
Paige Bueckers. She's a senior guard for the UConn Huskies women's basketball team. I admire her because she fought through an ACL injury and surgery and came back a stronger player. Her determination and drive inspired me to want to pursue a collegiate basketball career upon recovering from my own ACL injury and surgery.
What teacher had the biggest influence on you and why?
Coach O always makes a point to care about each player beyond the court. He cares about our futures and is always willing to give advice or life lessons.

South Shelby will be running a 2 hour late start tomorrow February 6th, to allow temperatures to rise and road conditions improve. Bus pick up times will be two hours behind your normal pick up times. With a late start breakfast will not be served and MACTech students will not go to classes at Macon.

There will be no school at South Shelby today, February 5th, due to winter weather.
