Monday Academy Start Date and Bus Information for 2023
The first day of Monday Academy for South Shelby will be Monday, September 11th. Monday Academy is a program designed to help students who are struggling academically. It is offered on Monday by invitation to students who need remediation and additional help in specific subject areas. If you and your student have arranged to take part in Monday Academy there will be multiple transportation pick up locations in the towns of Clarence and Shelbina. Please be sure your child is at one of the following bus stops in each town at 7:30 am if they will require transportation. If you have requested pick up outside of town, then that has been arranged. If you have questions you may contact your child’s school office. Monday Academy ends at 2:00 pm. Your child will be dropped off at the bus stops pictured after 2:00 pm. If you have a younger student, please be sure there is someone waiting for them at the bus stop when they are dropped off.
The South Shelby School District will be offering Monday Academy for the 2023-2024 school year on the following days from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm:

Breakfast and Lunch will be served each Monday. You can look on the school lunch calendar to see what will be served that day. Students are welcome to bring their lunch from home if they wish.

Math and Reading Work
Shoes from the Heart teamed up with the First Christian Church of Clarence to donate a shoe closet to South Shelby Elementary. There are around 50 pairs of new shoes for boys and girls that can be given to a child in need. Thanks to youth pastor Jonathan Stucki from the 1st Christian Church of Clarence and Donnie Bonuchi from Shoes from the Heart.
