The South Shelby Cardinals had a great day at the Class 2 Distrcit 3 Track and Field Championships. We had several boys qualify for Sectionals next Saturday along with finishing 6th place as a team! It was a warm LONG day but a successful one! Good Job boys!

SS Ladybirds are the Class 2 District 3 Champions! First time in...a while! Not sure when the last time was but I'll look it up later. With that we had A LOT of great performances including 4 New School Records and several PRs!
Charlie Roush broke her own Javelin Record with a throw of 119'0" (old record was 114'3)
4x100m Relay of Sofia E, Gracynn L, Belle R & Callie McWilliams ran a 51.07 (breaking their own record of 51.49)
4x200m Relay of Sofia E, Gracynn L, Belle R & Callie McWilliams ran a 1:48.59 (breaking their own record of 1:49.56)
4x400m Relay of Belle R, Samentha K, Gracynn L & Callie M broke the 26 year old record running the fastest time in the state during distrcits today with a 4:10.61! The old record was set in 1999 by M Dulaney, R Moore, A White & L Wear and was a time of 4:11.20.

BBQ team went for a research trip to Kansas City today. We visited the new Museum of BBQ in Crown Plaza. Then of course we had to visit the best BBQ at the historic KC Joes gas station.
These guys took 2nd place in the CCC meet today. Lost by 2 points to Highland. Not pictured is Hanley Bundick.
