Thank you to Mr. Andrew Coon for sharing his trombone talent with the fourth graders at South Shelby Elementary School today! After we read the book Trombone Shorty, we wanted to listen to a real trombone player. We are so lucky to have such faithful musicians in our community!

South Shelby depends on the support of our community to make events successful, and a significant way to help is by volunteering in the concession stand!   At this time, we have a very small group of dedicated individuals who consistently give their time to keep things running. We are incredibly grateful for their commitment—but we need more parents and community members to step in and share the responsibility. If you have a student participating in spring sports, we kindly ask that you sign up to volunteer at least once during the season. Even a single shift makes a meaningful difference and helps ensure that no one group carries the full load. Concession stands are more than just a convenience—they help support our programs, enhance the game-day experience, and contribute to the overall success of our school events. Without enough volunteers, there may be occasions where we are unable to open the concession stand, which is a huge loss for our Booster Club, as it is one of the major forms of income. We would hate for this to happen since our Booster Club does so much for our district. Many neighboring districts benefit from strong parent and community involvement, and we know our parents and community are just as capable of coming together in support of our students. Please sign up to be part of the team that helps make these events possible. Your time and support truly matter! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Wumt1u1rd_zmqnf_y9WCek-NYeQeTo4WSxWJXqOGPNY/edit?usp=drivesdk
