Seven SSMS 6th Graders participated in the District 6th Grade Honor Choir on April 7th. Over 300 6th graders from 30 district schools gathered at MACC to rehearse all afternoon & perform a concert together that evening. Shelbina native Tim Hercules was the clinician for the day.

We are learning about the Life Cycle of a Chick.







Missouri FCCLA attended Legislative Shadowing at the Missouri State Capital today. Sofia Eleazarraraz and Lillie Broughton attended from South Shelby FCCLA.



Biology learned ecology surveying techniques in class the past few days (around the bad weather). They were looking at plant and animal biodiversity.




Students competed at the CCC Art Show hosted at Truman State University. We are beyond proud of the hard work they have put into their pieces this year, and we’re grateful to see it be recognized at the conference level. These kids are just as respectful and kind, as they are creative. Thank you, David Bryant, for driving the bus and spending the day with our students!

SSHS Track had a great night at Clark County! The boys finished 3rd as a team out of 12 and the girls were a Tie for Meet Champions!




This 8th grade student passed 50 I Ready math lessons! Way to go!


We will recognize our track seniors at our meet on Monday. . With the amount of events and schools participating, we are not requiring parents to stand with their athletes.

The South Shelby vs Atlanta baseball game will not be made up. The Cardinals open up conference play Thursday night at Centralia.

South Shelby Golf got a win at Norwoods GC in Hannibal tonight.




Third grade prepared reports, and made bottle people to teach their classmates about various famous people in history.



Due to a septic tank leaking into the dugouts and near the field, tonight's game has been postponed.

Congrats to Charlie Roush for breaking her own school record last week in the Javelin with a throw of 114'2"!
She breaks her previous record of 112'7.25"


She completed all of her reading and math lessons!


MS Art is learning about positive and negative space in their artwork this week!
